GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
The meeting was called to order at 8:00p.m.
Don announced the club By-law changes that were voted upon by the Officers and Board of Directors. Associate membership structure changes and Board of Directors 4 term limit. Chuck Darner made a motion to accept the changes and was seconded by Bill Breen. Passed unanimously.
Nominations were made for Officers: Danny Del Rio – President - accepted Paul Gallup – Vice President –accepted by proxy. Carol Hixenbaugh – Treasurer - accepted Pati Kalaitzis – Secretary – accepted
Board of Directors: Will Aiken Jim Anderson Tom Darga Steve Kalaitzis Larry Hixenbaugh Alan Shepard Greg Wallace

Banquet tickets are available for sale. ($40.00ea.)
The bottom tourney will be Sept 10th. Last tournament of the year. Fishing boards close Sept. 15th, 8:30PM and will re-open October 1st for the new year. October 20th is the junior awards. October 22nd, banquet October 23rd, NEW PAST PRESIDENT (Don) actually Don, it’s November 1st!
October 15th is a pot luck dinner. Bring the meats and sides. Club will furnish desserts.
Tom Darga caught his first sailfish and went for a dunk. He managed to pull Zack Miller in with him. Luckily Zack did not have his phone or pump on him. Good going Tom!
Rick Ryals presented the winnings for the R&H Sailfish tourney. 1st – Mark Lacavara 2nd – Tim Altman 3rd – Steve Grant
Marine Max – Arlington – will have a seminar on Saturday, Sept. 10 starting at 10am with Dave Borris and Larry Finch. Will be having a low country boil also. Free to the public.
George from the Mayport Princess was our guest speaker. He started with a joke. Talked about knots and tying up your boat. Dropper loop Figure 8 “Budweiser” rig – all purpose rig Always wrap twice around bottom of cleat when tying up to the dock Use jugs w/window weight when anchoring – paint the weight gold for the divers (if lost) hehehe Law will require vent tools and dehookers soon. All inshore reefs are producing well right now. He is on channel 6 and will give weather reports throughout the day Runs 7 days a week (weather permitting) $80.00 per person (904) 246-7575
