GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
The meeting was called to order at 8 pm.
Don announced that Pete Loftin passed away September 4. (Pete was a founding member of the Greater Jacksonville Kingfish Tournament and served on its board of directors for most of its 30 plus years. He also helped organize Jacksonville Commodores League and Northeast Florida Marlin Association, and served on the boards of those organizations as well as the Jacksonville Offshore Sport Fishing Club)
Fishing boards for 2011 close tonight at 8:30pm.
Need final count for the banquet participation by October 3, so everyone please buy your tickets tonight, from any board member or officer.
October 20 meeting will start at 7pm, Jr. Angler Awards meeting.
From previous meeting, Russell wants to run snapper tagging seminars, will look at groups of 25 at a time. Dates to come.
Charlie Hamaker spoke and gave his Kudos to the JOSFC. JOSFC once again won the Hamaker Cup. Presented tonight to Zach Miller and Eddie McGowan.
HOSPITALITY
Pot luck dinner tonight, club provided deserts.
GUEST SPEAKER
Speech night tonight, everyone gave speeches that is running / will be on the board and officers.
MEMBERSHIP
JOSFC welcomed Tod Bierling into the club.

EVENTS
Chris Rooney talked about the “Luck of the Draw” Tournament. He will coordinate. The next meeting, October 6, he will hold the Luck of the draw drawing. Bill Breen will be putting the information in the newsletter.
Date of the Luck of Draw Tournament will be determined at first meeting in November.
Tournament is all about voluntary captains with voluntary crew members. Fish an early day, then have a fish fry around 2pm after fishing. Fun for everyone and way to get to know other members of the club!
