Don't let the name "Jacksonville Offshore Sport Fishing Club" fool you or discourage you from visiting our club to see if you like what we have to offer. We are a family orientated, fun, fishing club. We fish the river, sloughs, bay's, beach, and anywhere we can get a line wet!
Come visit us and see what we have to offer!
Red Snapper Tagging
Written by Bill Breen
The JOSFC encourages everyone to participate in the Red Snapper Tagging Program that the FWC is running. The FWC will be giving some Red Snapper Tagging Seminars and they would like to get us involved in tagging Red Snapper so the FWC can get some real data on them to counter what the SAMFC claims!
If you would like to sign up for a seminar, here is your opportunity to sign up.
Contact Patti Kalaitzis. Call her at (904) 256-7766 for information, or contact Russ Brodie and Justin Solomon from FWCC
Come and visit us!
Visit the Jacksonville Offshore Sport fishing Club’s next meeting as our guest! You will find a great historic sporting association dedicated to preserving and enhancing the family sport fishing off Jacksonville. 2011 is our 52nd year as a club. We are a working family club that welcomes the kids at our meetings, and the average boat is a 20’ to 25’ center console fishing boat. We fish the bays, backwaters, river and ocean, and welcome everyone. If you fish in salt water, you need to join, to help fight the junk science that is being used to close all our sport fishing.
Come visit us on the first and third Thursday of each month at the Mayport Boat Ramp. Dinner and soft drinks (Free) start about 7:30 PM and our meetings start at 8:00 PM we usually have great fishing and boating seminars by experts, and have a great time spinning tall stories about local fishing!

He has set it up so you can, look for crew or to crew on any specific date, or just in general. Be sure to go to his site and Register or log in ( It's FREE ) and check out his web-site.
You will also find the Available Angler link under the "Fishing Info " tab at "Fishing Links".
Our next meeting is May 17, 2012, the Third Thursday of the month. Our Guest Speaker will be - Larry the Fishman Finch. He is excited about speaking at the May 17th meeting. Dinner . . . . Chef Larry says that this next meeting is scheduled as our Spring Pot-Luck Dinner. This means that dinner will be whatever YOU bring. We, you and I need to provide the Main Dish and sides! Cook up a big batch of your favorite dish, and bring it to the meeting! Dinner will start about 7:30 PM, with the meeting starting at 8:00 PM.
